Doug "The Doppelgänger" Shablowski is the primary antagonist in the Season Two episode "Temp Check", and has only appeared twice in the series. Hired by Rigby as his temp to get out of work, he initially appears as lively and overly enthusiastic, despite Rigby's poor compensation and subpar accommodations, and wins over Mordecai and the other Park employees, making Rigby jealous. However, Doug is actually a shapeshifting scam artist, who slowly begins adapting Rigby’s physical features and even voice, before full on shapeshifting into a clone of him, leaving the Park employees to have to figure out who’s the real Rigby.
Appearance
Doug is a brown otter with long black whiskers and a round, black nose. He seems to have an overbite when he smiles. Like Rigby, he is short and has darker brown lines on his fur, and underneath his cap he has short brown hair. Upon arriving on a bus in front of the park, he wears a white, long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans with a belt, and a red and white trucker-style cap. However, within the park he wears nothing but his cap.
Abilities
The Doppelgänger, as his nickname implies, is a shapeshifting otter capable of replicating another character's voice, appearance, personality, and general abilities using seemingly supernatural imitation abilities. Doug also seems to possess an uncanny ability to surmise a victim's psyche or at least guess their own memories. During a trivia test, he was able to correctly answer deeply personal questions about Rigby.

Trivia
- Doug is voiced by Roger Craig Smith, who plays several other characters in Regular Show, most notably Thomas the Goat. Outside the program, his credits include a wide range of video game and film characters, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Chris Redfield of the Resident Evil video game franchise, Ezio Auditore of Assassin's Creed, Captain America in several animated series, Ripslinger from planes, and the title character in Batman: Arkham Origins. Interestingly, when he first appears, he speaks with a happy and high voice similar to Sonic's, but after getting arrested, he speaks with a more serious and deeper voice similar to Batman's.
- The name Doug is an anglicized form of the Scots-Irish word dubh, which means dark.
- The surname Shablowski is an anglicized spelling of the Polish surname Szabłowski. It derives from the word szabla, meaning sabre.
- He instead makes a cameo towards the end of Rigby's Graduation Day Special, where he is seen in his prison cell with Mr. Ross looking out at the Park Dome as it launches into space.
